The Big Farming Weekend!!!  30th & 31st May 2009

Every year all our wonderful woolly sheep are shorn. (All our sheep and one gorgeous goat called Janice). We would love you all to come along and see the shearing for yourself. They are having their haircuts just in time for the warm weather to keep them nice and cool. We are so excited about it we have dedicated the whole weekend to celebrate Farming in Britain!

FREE TRACTOR & TRAILER RIDES!

To get you in the mood we think a brilliantly bumpy tractor and trailer ride will be perfect. They are so much fun we thought we would make them FREE for the Big Farming Weekend. Its a great way of getting in the paddocks with the animals and getting up close – even to our big Bull – Hero!

Then to the Farmer’s Field of Funfair Games! Try Welly Wanging to win some great prizes, or pop your Dad in the stocks! This will surely give you an appetite and we have some very special guests for the weekend to keep your bellies full of great local food. The Gringley Gringo will be on hand with a super Fajita Stand made extra special with her lovely locally grown chilli products. The White Post Farm Shop will also be on hand for a sizzling summer BBQ so save some room for a sausage or two!!!

Our friends at Hoots Owls will also be spending the weekend with us for your chance to meet and hold some amazing owls! They are my favourites and always really popular. Don’t miss your chance to get to grips with these beautiful birds of prey.
